This year sees Cinco de Mayo fall on a Tuesday -- not a good day for celebrating, according to Dos Equis, which for the third year running has issued a call for people to mark the festival on May 2 instead. As Dos Equis "Most Interesting Man" explains in this video, May 2 happens to be a Saturday, which is even better, and what's more it coincides with both the Kentucky Derby and the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight in Las Vegas.

The brand is also running a competition on Facebook for people to win a cardboard standee of the Most Interesting Man to have at their Cinco de Mayo party. The first 1,000 fans that submit an "I don't always" line by tomorrow (April 24) will win one. Fans are also asked to share the most extraordinary way they plan to celebrate Cinco this year on Twitter using contest hashtag #DosDeMayo; the best will win a trip to a Dos Equis party in L.A.
